Background
Guan Yu all the treasures and gold seal given Cao Cao, and said goodbye before embarking on a trip to HeBei with two sisters-in-law, Lady Gan and Lady Mi. In the course of searching for his brother, Guan Yu must pass 5 Cao soldiers guarded fortress. Because Cao Cao does not give license to Guan Yu, Guan Yu would not want to have to break through the gate by force. Can Guan Yu pass this hurdle?
Guide
1. Talk to NPC Battle of ZhanLiu Storyteller at the Temple of Heaven to enter this instance.
2. Upon entering the instance battlefield, receive the first quest: "Breakthrough Dongling Pass" by talking to NPC Liao Hua.
3. Before starting, its best if one party member talks to NPC Yi Army Field Officer in advance to receive a lesser Guan Yu MS version, which has a special skill to help defeat the bosses in this historical instance.
4. After taking the MS from Yi Army Field Officer, head north and enter through the first gate. The fort will be guarded by Kong Xiu. Defeat him to complete the first quest.
5. After Kong Xiu is defeated, report the quest to NPC WangFu located near the gates north of the fort and take the next quest: "Flee to LuoYang".
6. This quest is completed by beating the two generals: Hanfu & Meng Tan. Both of these bosses can be found in Luoyang City located north of NPC WangFu.
7. Head north, and defeat both bosses. After defeating them, go meet NPC Pujing in the east gate of LuoYang City to report the completed quest.
8. Before leaving, do not forget to take the next quest from Pujing: "Night Attack at Sishui Pass". Then continue east to meet Bian Xi.
9. Defeat Bian Xi to complete the quest and continue on south.
10. Talk to NPC HuBan to report the completed quests and take the quest: "The City of Xingyang".
11. For the quest "The City of Xingyang", the party will face Wang Zhi while at the same time protecting Lady Gan & Lady Mi, on the battlefield, from all enemy attack.
12. After defeating Wang Zhi, continue south to meet NPC Liu Yan and report the completed quest. Also do not forget to take the last quest: "Battle of HuangHe Gate" from him as well.
13. There are 2 scenarios that may occur in this Historical Instance.
A. If the party successfully protected Lady Gan & Lady Mi during battle against Wang Zhi as well as successfully completing all the quests up to this point of the stage in 20 minutes or less, then Qin Qi will appear along side with Xiahou Dun.
B. However, if one of the listed criteria above was not met (Eg. Lady Gan was killed or more the party took more than 20 minute to reach final part of stage), then Xiahou Dun will not appear.
14. Defeat Qin Qi and/or Xiahou Dun, and report the completed final quest to NPC Zhang Liao south of gate.
Hints
1. Use special skills Guan Yu (Moon Shadow Dragon) as often as possible. This skill will help to seal some de-buff skills from bosses in this historical instance.
2. The instance starts in a chronology order (clockwise) from the lower left position of map and ending at the bottom right.
3. Speed is an important matter in this historical instance in order for Xiahou Dun to appear and of course keeping both Lady Gan & Lady Mi alive as well.
